Neptune

This one was mostly inspired listening to the artist / producer 'Lorn' - slow, heavy, rich, textured, and intricate. I also had a conversation about Zodiac with a friend, namely about 'Neptune in Sagittarius'. The idea of Neptune lead to this track came out sounding like the feeling of standing at the edge of the ocean - on the rocky Pacific coast in the northwest with the vast chaotic gray reaching for you.

I'm pretty happy with it, perhaps there's more I would do, the production gets maybe a little chaotic, I need to keep it simple sometimes.

* Bass and lead from Ableton bass & synth instruments
* Violin, cello, ocean, kick samples from Splice
* Tons of wonky FX chains, such as reverb before chorus, Baby Audio Transit, etc.

Total Time: 5 hours

I love how it rises out of the ocean by the midway point.

Wow, this track is great! I was listening to the track before I clicked into the page, and Lorn was my immediate thought when I heard it. I think you nailed the sound!

Thanks! That was one of the last elements I added but made so much sense being in that space in the middle.

^oops, that's the moon... ok, then, feels massive as the moon COLLIDING with the earth! smile
