Quick sunday evening M8 and norns track! Made some noises on the M8, put them into norns, mangled them, fed them back into M8. Accidentally slapped a chiptune lead on it that ideally would have wanted to sing this melody but I ran out of time.
Anyway, feel like I made a home-brand Calavera sounding idea, but it's all good practice right?

Oh yeah, once again: resample to instrument and pitch down fr fr

Also had a real good weekend catching up with lots of my friends, hiking, rollerblading, and even saw a bunch of flying-foxes. Just a really lovely weekend.

bit of a post-rock chiptune vibe, I dig the atypical muted percussion sounds. really nice work overall.

curious what you were running on norns in this workflow?

also very jealous of you getting to see some flying foxes, I love them.

Thanks! I'm glad to hear you liked it!

For the norns side of things: I'm running Connecto to get the M8 sending audio to the norns over USB.
I ran the live M8 audio into Tunnels, which I then recorded to the norns' tape.
I then played back the recorded tapes using Twine and sampling that in the M8.
Really just resampling in this setup - I was keen to try and have them playing more alongside each other but was running short of time this week.
Are you running a norns with the M8?

Flying foxes are fantastic! If you're ever in Melbourne, I can recommend the colony in Yarra Bend park. It can reach up to 30,000 strong depending on time of year!

This sounds great, the pads fit perfectly with the main lead here - it's like they make it pack an even heavier emotional punch. Nice job!!!
