Sawasattelite

By tim koch on January 26, 2014 11:05 pm

Droney ambient piece that I have been reworking, that somehow ended up being influenced by Cliff Martinez. Pads were played in live from an old app I had on an iPod Touch and fed through slight bit-reduction - the alternate version had a bassline and clangy percussion, but it seemed to have more feeling with all other elements stripped back.

Lovely!

Very nice

I can see the future from here, and my house

That was one smooth ride. Keep the change, my good man.

Really enjoying your pieces, Tim.  Nice restraint with this one and lovely timbres throughout. smile

Thanks man - lazy ambience so far really, plan to record a lot more guitar / percussive pieces and move away from sequencing / pattern-based for a while.

the flourishes in this are fantastic. its awesomely weightless smile

Spacey and beautiful, love it

lush. where the art from?

Pavel Elagin - awesome stuff - Art by Pavel

Chillin' !  Almost Fripp like tones in there.  I also dig the occasional harmonic dissonance.  Gives it more depth.

Ha yes definitely Frippertronic-like in parts! Think I prefer live-parts played in and retain all imperfections these days - thanks for the comments!

Trippy and Frippy!

SWEET
