Galeanthropy

By tiasu on March 25, 2012 8:14 am

Galeanthropy; noun, the delusion that one has become a cat.

So this is honestly the corniest pop song ever. I wrote this incredibly dissonant, difficult, confusing piano piece, thought I was happy with it. Then tried to give it a name. And realised that the reason I was having trouble coming up with a name was because I hated the piece. So I wrote this instead...

Yet another week that I wish I could both sing & write lyrics, this piece could have used that!

Lyric suggestion: Meow, meow meow... MEow meOW rawreowroowwr....

Cool tune.

nice one. kinda wish it was a little more fleshed out or i guess a glaze of that pop over-production.

Dammit, @vinpous I wish I had thought of that!
@DrumurBoy I wrote it in 45m after I realised I hated the other piece - not much time to do anything with it, really.

Agreed with vince. Meow over this. Do it.

mrow

Meeowwwwww... auto tuned of course.

I cannot believe I missed this opportunity. I will have to do it sometime this week and post it alongside my track for week 13...

I always learn something new here... Galeanthropy.  Is there a pill I can take to avoid this fate?  Good composition.  Like the piano playing.  You can always use the AT&T Text To Speech converter to do your meowing.  That's what I do when I'm too lazy to plug in a mic (or chasing a ball of yarn around the kitchen).

Yay Tiasu - Galeanthropy what a great word and as NWSPR says what a horrible, horrible fate. Liking this piece a lot.  Also the commentary is hilarious. You guys are all ace (warm and fuzzy feelings abound). Perrrrrfect.

@NWSPR I don' think there is a pill for it.. Maybe just stay off the internet for a few days when you feel the symptoms start to rise. Too many cats on the internet.

@Oceans Ta! I love WeeklyBeats everyone is so awesome! Much heart to everyone for all the nice comments

Cute piano piece, I'd be interested in hearing what it would sound like with lots of pop shimmers and autotuned cat wailing.
