Q: You're in love??

Luscious track smile

Best description ever :-]

Wow thank you so much for the positive feedback guys. It really helps.

A: Poppi, yes I am very much in love with my beautiful wife, whom you can actually hear in the intro lovingly enquiring as to whether I would like a coffee. The real question though is Y U NO WEEK 1 SUBMISSION?

Glad you all liked the track so much. I hope you enjoy whatever it is I manage to compose for Week 02 just as much.

wonderful!

@ Thursday: So Cute! lol

..[I] have issues %u2013

...@ Thursday: ..so, I don't understand how I got that bit of code to come up(!?@)

What I meant to say was %u2013 see my comment under 'How Did We All Fare" (if you can be bothered).

The code in this section is frakked.

The beginning made me feel like I was sitting in an airport with a broken heart and a cold cup of coffee.

so dark sad

Niiiiice! And  1 for the great description. wink

Hey dude, awesome work on the track! look forward to the next. Murph

Wow. This is fantastic.

if I had to choose a favorite from week 1, this might be it

Wow, thanks for such nice words people. So much pressure to live up to my debut track tongue

Beautiful. A good accompaniment to insomnia. Looking forward to 51 more from you.

This feels great.

Love the live piano sample smile Are the room sounds part of the same sample or separate? Nice to see what you turned it into. I especially love the pedal noise at the very end, a perfect finish!

Thanks brokenmusic. The background ambience is a field recording I made of a cafe. The piano I played over the top (and ended up just looping because I'm lazy). The cafe sounds were the very last part of the mix actually. I knew they'd be there so it was just a given and worked on finishing the track first. I started with the main piano line you hear over the beats, then programmed the beats themselves. Bassline came next and I had the core of the track. I then recorded the intro piano (and used it again for the outro), mixed it together then dropped the room ambience in behind it all.

The combination of the bass and piano with the low harmony is really powerful. Love this one!

This could easily be a soundtrack to a powerful scene in a movie, whether violent, sad, traumatic, determination of character, war, etc. Itd work really well.

Thanks Overfocused!

Love that piano   background noise, and the beats you bring in and then out again at the end. solid track.
