I patched up and recorded this in just a couple hours. I started off playing with the EOR and EOC gates from Make Noise Maths envelopes as a source for Abstract Data's Logic Boss and triggering some bits. After finding the clip about UFOs on my Radio Music module, everything sort of fell into place. There's actually a lot more voices than I would usually patch up in play here. As usual, all performance is live to the DAW, and only minimal compression and some reverb in post.
‹ Patch Notes
The central clock source here essentially ends up being the EOC gate out on Maths CH1. Maths CH1 and CH4 envelopes are cycling, and the EOC and EOR outs go into INs 1 and 2 on the Abstract Data Logic Boss. EOC on Maths CH1 goes to RCD and the /2 and /4 divisions power the drums, with /6 going into Logic Boss IN 3, and /8 going into Logic Boss IN 4. The Stage A AND2 out is triggering the "clock in" of the Make Noise Wogglebug, and various other logic boss outputs fire events across the patch.
Kick/Bass: RCD /2 triggers an Intellijel Quadra exponential AD envelope, which drives the Control input on Make Noise Optomix. STO's Shape output goes to the Optomix, and then straight to the mix.
Clap/Snare: RCD /4 triggers another Quadra envelope, this time going to uVCA. Make Noise Telharmonic's Noise Out goes into the VCA, and then that also goes straight to the mix.
String/Pad: Telharmonic is in the 3 Voice Shift Register mode, and the Phase out goes to optomix. Rene's unquantized CV out goes into degree, and D-Gate is triggered from the X Gate out. X trigger in is Logic Boss A stage NAND1, Y trigger in is Logic Boss A stage NOR1. Math's channel 1 direct envelope out goes to optomix with full damp goes into the Manhattan Analog DTM Mixer. That then goes into Pittsburgh Modular's Analog Replicator.
Chime: This is Happy Nerding's HM VCO as a carrier for some FM. Square out from Mannequins's Mangrove is the modulator. HM VCO gets pitch from uScale quantizer to get 1, 4 and 5, whose source is an attenuated square random from Wogglebug. Mangrove gets pitch from Rene also set to give quantized 1, 4 and 5. Logic Boss Stage A NOR1 also triggers a quadra envelope, and that opens uVCA. That then goes to the DTM and Analog Replicator as well.
Reverse Nonsense: Mangrove's formant oscillator is the star here. Pitch is from Rene's quantize out. Air CV in comes from Maths CH4 envelope with a slow rise and short fall. The formant out goes into Make Noise Echophon with a delay of about half the envelope time.
Sine Chirps: This is the Dave Smith DSM-1 Curtis Filter self oscillating. Filter frequency is an attenuated Woggle Bug smoothed random out. The VCA on the DSM1 is opened with an Pittsburg's Envelope getting triggered from Logic Boss's Stage B NAND/NOR
Voice: Radio music is playing a clip from the default sample pack. That goes into the Doepfer A-124 VCF5 Wasp Filter. Level and Resonance are cranked for max distortion and weird. Wogglebug's woggle out goes to CV2 for some wibble in the filter, and the bandpass out then goes into the dry mix.
