139bpm - Dependent Flouncer (Intro)

By thisissami on February 11, 2018 11:51 pm

The track I was working on was too involved to be finished in one week... so I present you, the intro to Dependent Flouncer. There's a big twist that comes after this intro - so I hope you check back again next week to hear the full thing. wink

I'd love any feedback on how you think the various elements sit together in the mix. I think I have too much sound going on right now without enough space between things... but I also like how things creatively fit together... Aaah the conundrum... sad (The twist bit has a lot more space, so this will be a non-issue for the rest of the track)

The low pitched vocals are maybe a bit too cheesy. They're nice in the higher registers though.

Yeah the cheese is definitely oozing hard in this one. It's used more as a build-up for where this track goes... those cheesy vocals are the only elements that actually remain, and they get majorly warped and shifted into another dimension (and in the process completely lose the cheesiness). I wondered about that for a bit but chose to keep it to make the transition that much more mindblowing. big_smile
