50 Weekly Beats 2024 Great Job

By thgirwnhoj on December 15, 2024 9:49 pm

I remember when I first stumbled upon Weekly Beats and I remember reading comments from participants about how hard the last few weeks were. Now I am feeling it! I did a more ambient track last week and now for this week I am returning to the trend I was following of working in odd time and focusing on chopped up vocal samples. This song is in 13/4 and really had to come together fast under a tight schedule. It didn't help that my DAW wouldn't load to bounce the final version, but I finally got it to work. Phew!

Wow, I had to listen to this twice just to take it in. It seems the odd time signature really brought forth some magic. I'll have to listen to more of your music.

Thank you so much for both listens!! The odd time signatures are having the same effect on me as I compose these tracks and making it more interesting to listen to them as they come together. Thanks again!!

I love odd time signatures

Really enjoying this piece, I have been playing around with some voice vsts that just follow along with the audio.

Anyways, keep up with the odd beats! Already too much 4/4 stuff out there

If you ever feel like sharing, I would like to hear what you are talking about with the voice vsts.

I plan on making more tracks in odd time. It has been a fun challenge and I get a lot of positive encouragement like this.

Thank you very much!
