Would be great to witness live.  Was it a decent PA?  Are there many places to perform various forms of sound art?  I'm thinking of coming over next year for a visit.  I'd love to tee up a gig in Amsterdam and London.

Yeah, this sounds like a really fun performance. One for earplugs though. SOTU Sonology Showlab sounds like a fun place to check out. I'm heading to Europe in July/August, but won't make it to Amsterdam. sad
There seems to be quite a few avenues across the EU for this type of work?

SOTU was the name of the festival: Sounds of the underground, being held mostly in the venue OT301 in Amsterdam but also some other venues in the neighbourhood. The PA in the attic room where we played was not particularly good (main room of OT301 had pretty good sound), but we made the best of it (the recording is straight from the mixer though). The Sonology Showlab part of the name refers to our stage that night at the venue: we had a group of people from The Hague doing a series of improvisations in small groups.

In amsterdam I know a few places where interesting things happen in this context, like other venues involved in this festival: OCCII and Vondelbunker, haven't been there yet though.
One of the coolest places in Amsterdam not only for interesting concerts but also to learn is STEIM. Often visiting artists not only do concerts but also teach workshops or give lectures.

I barely know who's who or who to talk to to get gigs in amsterdam though, but here in The Hague I know the places, particular nights, and people organising them a bit better, so yeah maybe we can do something indeed!

vinpous: what cities in Europe will you be passing through?
