As always, another week another beat, I hope whoever listens enjoys. Man, this mix was really giving me a run for my money and still is. I could spend eternity trying to get it to sound exactly how I want it to sound, but then I wouldn't have an upload for this week, LOL. That being said for the most part I'm happy with this tune, could be better in some areas but that's music, am I right, always things to improve on. Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there, I know I wouldn't be where I'm at without mine, and I'm lucky to have him in my life. Hope you all deserve your day of dedication most of y'all deserve it.

I used the same sink or swim splice vocal sample the other week but mine was a bad rush job. this sounds great and fully formed. glad someone is doing the samples justice!

It's nice for sure. I am enjoying it. I hear what you are saying about the mixdown. It's got some fuzzy edges. Your other more recent stuff was super clean.

Are you guys who are using the Splice vocals and such building your tunes first and finding a vocal to lay on top...or sourcing the vocal first and then building around it at its natural BPM and key? My effort this week needs more work on the vocal. My FX chain was doodoo.

I’ve done both but most often for WB i usually have much of the track done and reach out for some vocal to save it. Sometimes it’s a good enough fit that i build a bit more around that. If I wasn’t speedtrashing so much I think I’d try to integrate it earlier and build around it.
