Sad song

By theGuen on June 24, 2018 7:36 pm

After having all those instruments last week i tried to use as little as possible.
I have this marimba synth for the background. The rest is eguitar. The synth like thing is the eguitar pitched up some octaves and added delay. I really enjoyed to play this... don't know why it is soo sad...

Hope you enjoy...

Have a great week!

Not sooo sad to me. Kind of makes me happy.  It's got a sexy lounge feel to it. Maybe only the sample is sad and introspective. A bit of an Esquivel feel. Nice coloration in the chords and the mid range tone of the guitar lead is very nice. Downloading!

Yes, more mellow than sad. Good use of the voice snippets.

Yeah sounds very chilled out and relaxed to me although the vocal sample does lend it a sad air.  Nice use of minimal instrumentation.

very mellow, a little sad, but definitely not too sad. that first snare + kick is awesome. was unexpected and grabbed me right away. great sounding drums on this one and i quite like the minimalistic approach

Another great track, glad to hear the vocal samples, have to say you pick/find the best vocal samples on weeklybeats

Nice and chill to me, not too sad, like the voice samples and that snappy beat

Love the vocal sample placement and the beat with those lovely chords.  The first two chords or so remind me a bit of a Radiohead song that I can't remember off the top of my head smile  And for me it's got a nice mellow feel, not so much sad smile

Thanks! The vocals are the last thing i added... For me the first two notes of the guitar solo make the sad feel...

Oh, much thanks... This time i didn't struggle to much with the drum sounds.  Seems i made the right choice big_smile There are some weeks where i try 20 different snares and couldn't decide
