I got a new weapon lately big_smile
It's Hohner Chromonica. So this one is built around the first few notes i've got out of it.
I used some synth to complete the base melody and the bassguitar. Then i thought that the mandolin would fit in. I am sill working on these tremolo lines. So i have to spice them up with some chorus delay wink Having this slightly oriental touch i played some darbuka on top.
It seems that the tiny darbuka has more impact than the basedrum... An also the harmonica is very loud... was a bit of work to get it in the back...
The movie quotes are just there because i like sound of it wink

Hope you enjoy...
Have a great week!

And i want to thank you all again for these great comments on my last weeks track big_smile big_smile big_smile

A lot of interesting elements at work here.  The beat gives the whole thing a nice groove.  Very cool track.

Holy shit that's a fat sound! Blends in so well with the bass and synth. Love the samples too, and the panning effects. Pretty cool how you built the composition around the harmonica notes. Downloading!

Suhweet bassline with the nice sounding drum kit (especially the snare hit).  The harmonica and mandolin gives me a bit of a spaghetti western feel but like it crossed over into venice.  The quotes sound great with those delays too.  Nice!

Spaghetti Western in Venice: great description! The vocal snips work add another dimension.

a very unique beat, dare i say "experimental"? i love the tremelo'd mandolin sound, and the vocal cuts. they add a great bit of dimension to this beat. it feels like the harmonica could maybe use some reverb or delay to push it back a bit. that might help the kick pop through more, which i'm really craving when i listen. all in all though, i love the combination of instruments + samples, it's not an easy thing to do. keep it up smile

I'd say a detective Noir in Sicily.

Thank you!!! Yeah for sure it's a bit experimental. I have to try setting back the harmonica a bit more with reverb.... very good idea. Maybe i use a more kicking base too. Don't want you craving wink

By the way peng is what kids say when they play using a gun like cowboys here big_smile Did you know?

What a timbre! The organic instruments in this are so cool to listen to. The vox samples fit perfectly too, they really help with that old timey vibe heart

Nice mix of sounds, movie samples add a mysterious element, harmonica has a great vibe
