Inside out

WELCOME BACK TO EPISODE 2 OF "FLUTES ONLY CLUB"

In my professional life I write singer songs and perform them on a loop pedal with my voice(duh tongue) a ukulele and my flute. The idea of writing a loop pedal piece for just flute has lived in the back recesses of my brain folds and figured this was the *perfect* excuse to make it happen. I cheated by not actually recording this on my loop pedal (but the score says this theoretically works)

ABOUT THE TITLE - I turned my office inside out this week because I couldn't work in it (I'm a human of multiple creative disciplines with a budget that doesn't allow for the space those disciplines take up) I suppose in a way this tune is about that (GUESS WHO MADE DESK SPACE APPEAR OUT OF NOWHERE!?)

magickal!!!!!!!!

It's great how it strips back briefly before the arpeggiated motif returns for a moment near the end.  The opening line would be a great bass line too.  Quite groovy.

Thankyou so much! I've primarily been a treble clef musician my whole life, so learning to write bass lines has been a huge (and worthwhile) undertaking smile heart

Ah nice!

This is absolutely fantastic! Loopers are magical tools.
Love the mood in this piece.

Looking forward to hearing more from you this year!

This is a fabulous gif! big_smile

this such a lovely surprise to my day, welcome to WB 2024!

Beautiful! Very nicely balanced between the lead melody and the different looped sections shifting underneath. Nice composition, development and resolution. I also really like the idea of monthly themes, you've inspired me to do the same starting in Feb. Looking forward to hearing more from you.

Can’t wait for each session of Flute Club

Really beautiful! Can imagine someone making things magically disappear on their desk to this music.

This stands out, in a good way! Thank you

Flutes are such a lovely sounding instrument and this is a lovely piece of music! Feels like ice skating, twirling and twirling until eventually taking flight. I can relate about the office shuffling!

Gorgeous, love the layering. There is a beautiful chaos to this song that I really appreciate. Much like the beautiful chaos from working with multiple creative disciplines (i can recognize myself in that smile

Definitely gonna be watching your space here this year if this week and last are any indication of what's to come. Shout out to flute club!

This works great. This is unusual to hear flute only music but I like this quite a lot... I know starting week 5 you'll not do "Flute only" but I hope you will still put flutes here and there for our pleasure!

Well done.

Dang, this is so emotional, amazingly well done!
