This one went through many iterations through out the week. The distorted bottom layer you here was the first part and started from a convolution reverb that had one of it's settings (can't remember which now) up so much that it made a synth bass type sound. I knew that this was possible from seeing it before but it's always fun when you happen upon accidents like this. After a ton of effects and automation I had about 6 minutes of that and decided to build the piece around it.

I had a session with a friend of mine where we just improvised, unrelated to this project. He was playing guitar and effects. I was playing bass running into the max patch The Party Van. You can here it here https://soundcloud.com/tate-carson/sets/st-patrick-sessions . I loved the tone he got from his guitar, the mood it set and the vibe it brought that's so different from what sounds I usually use so I decided to use that session to fill out the work that you're hearing now. I was thinking kind of more weird explosions in the sky or a film from space.

I love the variety of sections and processing.  You have three distinct sound-worlds here that fit together well.
