I have been watching this YouTube show called solid air, where this person invites famous musicians and artists into his house and they just listen to records together and do a little interview. It’s been really affirming to hear these peoples music tastes and creative processes and remembering these specific artists that I really love that he has interviewed and hearing their processes helped me be inspired to make something a little different this week.
I sort of took from multiple people and did my own spin but I started out with a pad like piano and made some chords all live and in one take with a refrain and an octave drop before returning again to the main melody.
I verbed the hell out of it and filtered it with some resonance to highlight certain parts of the middle register.
Then I played around with a glockenspiel preset to highlight the chords.
Added flute trills.
Added pads to the refrain.
And finally added shaker, bass, and percussion towards the end.
the final thing I added was a ride in this weird dotted time because I really wanted the groove of this track to feel different but still consistent and along the lines of it’s sweet kinda nourishing vibe.

All and all it’s been a good experience to remember and play with what making music means to me and all the different ways to approach it.

Hope you’re having a great week heart

Lush. Perfect early morning headphone listening.

I love that perfect, simple tapped beat that worms it's way in with just enough bounce to lift the track up

Thank you heart it’s been so rewarding to post music on wb and have people be such attentive listeners with such nice comments. Appreciate you!

This track is so light and delicate, it's just floating on a morning breeze.

So cozy and peaceful. Like waking up and lounging in bed on a sunny day heart
