low key

I forgot to trim the end of this track sorry
I initially made the keys in the back by taking a glockenspiel and adding a filter and reverb then playing something I liked. After that I believe I put a delay on it and tweaked it until it sounded really pretty and twinkly. Kinda reminded me of some Radiohead patches. Then added bass over the top.
I added drums and found that I liked playing two different patterns when I was just jamming over the top with my maschine. So I worked to include both types in the full track.
Originally from this point I added electric guitar and had it be kind of twinkly like the keys but in a higher register and that felt a little too distracting and didnt add anything to the piece.
So I traipsed through splice and found the vocal just by typing in my bpm and finding something in the right key.
I’m stoked with how it worked out, it doesnt feel like my music which is pretty bizarre. Not just because the vox arent me but maybe because the vox gives it a different character that I wouldn’t really usually dip into.
Pretty interesting!
Anyway, hope you had a good week WB
