gratitude

Super simple beat this week. It’s a pad patch on maschine that I played some chords on. Added a LP and HP filter to take away some low end and some squeaking up top. Then verb and delay. Heard a little bass line in my head that sounded kinda happy and tropical? Like maybe steel drum kinda vibe. Then added the percussion conga sounds. Vibraphone. And then a super simple drum pattern over the top with side chain on the verbed out pad.
Had a friend of mine want to collab with me on something meditative and laid back so I thought I’d practice with this track. Been thinking about gratitude lately and longing for things to change and how to strike the balance between loving what you have and still making steps to change without losing that sense of groundedness, presence, and gratitude.
