comfortable

By sugar.export on January 8, 2026 1:09 am

I'm learning how to be securely attached in my current relationship. I have noticed that I am still hypervigilant at times and I need to ask for reassurance sometimes because even though she loves me for who I am, I am not used to it. This song is about the process of letting a realtionship be comfortable and showing up as my whole self even if it's scary. xoxo heart

Lyrics:

Comfortable
What does it mean?
To know I love someone
and they see me for me
Comfortable
Wont fall apart at the seams
Know youll be honest with me

Count the birds and watch it fly
Let myself breakdown and cry
Holding tongues and holding pace
You dont have to worry babe

i will read my mind this time
I wont run and I wont lie
Fall asleep and not for days
Leaning in and fall away

Sounding words with all i try
Knowing it might work this time
Show you I wont run away
Honing in on my mistakes

Noticing how much I hide
Focusing on how im blind
Learning love more everyday
You dont have to worry babe

Comfortable
What does it mean?
To know I love someone
and they see me for me
Comfortable
Wont fall apart at the seams
Know youll be honest with me

love the progression in this song, cool sounds!

Nice vocals! I liked the panning of them in the stereo field. The rhythmic chop midway was super cool into the build up. There's a bit of dissonant tension in the guitar against the more present post build up chops around the end that I enjoyed very much.

The vocals fit perfectly the feel of this track, and I love how you play with convention and just pan them off to the side while the gated background vocals stay centred. The whole track stays warm and lush but at the same time a little off-kilter in a delightfully disarming way.

The vocals + instrumentation have just a distinct blend.  Special shout-out to that bass timbre

Also, that chorus sounds MASSIVE

Thank you so much! It's been really nice to have people really see what I am doing. I appreciate you ears friend!

Thank you!! I definitely stacked the bass with two copies that i brought up an octave and panned right and left to take up more space in the mix!

Thank you! I find that i am drawn to the dissonance (shrug) who can blame me smile

Wow awesome song, I love the vibe so much. Especially the vocals and lyrical content.
