Get Sucky

Written in maybe five hours? E2S + MX49.

Holy shit the MX49 is a beast. Originally I had planned to do some sound design on it and smash out some hardcore for you, but the Motif engine takes a hell of a lot of getting used to, at least for li'l ol' me. It's powerful as hell, even without the custom waveform piece in the higher end models. Up to eight waveforms per voice and enough polyphony to choke this humble horse, with independent LFOs and a weird synthesis model I haven't quite figured out.

I've done a little bit of work with it, but nothing worth showing off yet.

So, the end result is this. Composed entirely from MX49 presets, sequenced from the ES2. Entirely pre-sequenced, only channel muting and pattern flipping going on here. No audio from the ES2 in this case, purely control.

Apologies for the shitty recording quality. I did my best in post but I'm really not that good at this shit. At least I didn't use the Olympus this time. I'm actually running the headphone out from all of my gear into a gMix, then running that thru a headphone splitter routed to my cans and PC so I can monitor while I record.

I need a real mixer, but I blew all my spare cash on this damned keyboard.

Anyway, enjoy.

I did.
