D.U.S.T (Don't Understand, Stop Trying) + Bonus Track:Two Minute Noodles

Not 100% happy with either of these, and probably going to revisit them at some point because I feel like there's a few good ideas in there.

Track 1: Electribe 2S + Yamaha MX49. I sat down to write some epic, heroic outrun sounding thing, but evidently my brain, body and hardware had different ideas and it ended up sounding quite mournful. The arps coming out of the MX49 still don't sound quite right. The arp engine is powerful as hell, but it's not actually customisable. I'm trying to fake it with a user LFO waveform on note pitch. It's close, but it's all ratios and microtuning and math is hard.

Track 2: Sunvox (iPad). I was real busy last week doing some travel. I did manage to get a little bit of stuff down on my tablet and finish it later, but again, I'm not happy with it. I have't really used Sunvox in any serious kind of way before, so this is more of a feature test than a real track. The high end pads need more work; feels like they're a bit overwhelming in this case. I think less is more this time.

A friend gave me a Zoom H1 recorder the other week, and I feel like I should have done some field recordings while on the interstate train, but I didn't feel quite right doing it since there were a lot of audible personal conversations going on (privacy, yo). I'll be making use of it in the near future though, and probably throwing the results through a Reactable or other modular setup.

Sunvox extra jam solid.  That breath synth sound is pretty sweet hey

Sounds fine, If your not 100% happy about it I reckon some distortion on some of the backing melody and a bit of a stereo imaging would do this wonders imo
