Build Your Own Future

By Strayce on January 8, 2014 6:22 am

From a dark alternate future where Compaq never cloned the IBM BIOS, the PC platform faded into relative obscurity. The industry had nothing to standardise on and thus remained fragmented; Amiga, Atari and Macintosh platforms co-exist in an uneasy peace with the descendants of CP/M and MSX machines. With no standard formats, data exchange is a nightmare, and the internet is still primarily the domain of scientists, students and incurable geeks.
