I Pissed on a Server Rack

By Stenny on March 16, 2026 12:01 am

The focus this week was creating my own drum rack from recorded sounds and grooving around that, which was a success. That being said, I do wish I left a little time to use the piece as an exercise in learning clean mixing (still new to me), or used a second pair of headphones, since the bass is a bit heavy and there's some muddy overlap at points. Some drum fills kind of outpace others in their level of detail, but that happens with deadlines and how I ended up allocating time - perfection is not the goal! Learning new things and having fun along the way is.

Oh my Claude, it's rainin' piss

All sorts of interesting foley here.

Take that server rack!

I love the sound design and structuring of this, it builds and releases tension so well, at so many different points, to keep my ears perked-up all throughout heart

WOW! Fantastic use of found-sounds as drums! This is a great drum rack, and a very interesting result from you experiment! It seems like it would be a fun tool to re-use in future tracks too! Great idea and very fun execution.
I really like that near dial-up sound??? Great stuff!
