Funeral for a Fujitsu

By Stenny on January 23, 2026 12:18 pm

So my laptop died when I was getting ready to compose this week, so I frantically dug my Mac Mini out of storage to binge compose a worthy send-off for it a day before I leave town (was hoping to compose on the road oops), and leave with it my little Mac Mini. This piece capitalizes on the same Max MSP toy I made for week 3, but I made it a Max for Live instrument for ease of automation this week.

And the laptop was actually an ASUS.

Granules going crazy! Awesome haha

Wow, very cool! The contrast between the chaotic cloud of sound in the beginning and the tonal stuff that emerges from it is really striking. Sounds like its supposed to be played in a loop? And the composition is very enjoyable. Incredible!

Sounds like Fujitsu is speed-running life.

Intriguing sound. Peace!

Very interesting soundscape!

Fun listen.

Granular voice being a bowed-like texture around 1:01 is an amazing moment. Also +1 to my other comment about vocals being a texture, more of a cocktail party effect here.

This is dope.
