Week14 - Cos(π/2-x)

By Stefano D'Alessio on April 6, 2014 7:05 pm

Cos(π/2-x) is a piece composed using only pure digital sine waves.
It develops in time keeping an extremely minimalistic harmonic range and exploiting fundamental characteristics of sound as amplitude, duration, continuity, variation. These elements are used to minimally manipulate sine waves, and structure them in to a dynamic composition.
The track has been entirely created in three days (4 - 6 April 2014).
Sounds created in Max/MSP.
Composed in Logic.

Great sounds this week. I need to get back into learning some more Max/msp, it just seems like such a steep learning curve.

Some lovely harmonic interplay and such pure tones.  Nicely structured too.

This is wonderful. Discovered your work via Faux Foe (and Tate Carson), have favourited to keep track of all the work. Would love to see the patche(s).

@vinpous
i used MAX for the samples... then i composed everything in Logic, so the patches were quite simple, just some [cycle~] modulating each other in time with AM and FM, and some other stuff i don't even remember... i patched them quite fast and immediately recorded them in to Logic... i did not even saved them.
By the way... thanks for your interest.
