entry to BM3 Battle #6 over at the intua forums "Even if they kill D&B, we'd still have rum and ass"

huge thanks to 5pinlink who mods over there and provided great fodder for the contest... "the longest amen chop ever" and a neuro reese bank to get experimenting in that vibe!

doing up this track, my #1 disapointment with BM3 was that I couldn't automate start points of a loop!? so i hade to load my vocal samples into gadget, use vancouver to make 4 bar loops of the timestretches at 170 bpm, load those back into BM3... also had BM3 crash on me 3 or 4 times which by now i'm expecting, never lost more than 15 minutes of work do to cumpulsiv SAFEING.

this week i bought Bark Filter by VirSyn because i was struggling with using bm3 built in filter/eq for giving the horn and vocals their own space (and then the reese when it pitches up for the B part)... Bark Filter is the only AUv3 I've found on iOS that has spectrum display! and in the end i wound up using panning to get the horn off the vox and took the pitch shift off the vox too (had been shifting them up for extra kewt).

ok yeah time to do the photogrammetry now loOoooOoooOOL

if you buy weeklybeats 2018 release over on bandcamp it has all the source for this as bonus, even though the release only lets you listen to the first 4 tracks of the year. hmu for download code if you're as strapped as i am wink

thanks thanks thanks!

there were very few submissions on the battle (intua was running a pay to play compo at the same time that took people's attention... but like... they should all just make a beat a week anyway and do both!)

so will see. if i win, i get to say what the next forum contest is... KRRREEEEPPPPY KUUUUUUUTE

So k9d. Dawg.
