Take Me Away (WB29)

So i went to a punk show and inadvertently got inspired to write a pop/punk style song but with my usual instruments.  Took a bit longer than an hour but i still tried to keep it minimal.  didnt go in an add much detail, just put the song to the page and exported

40 minutes recording and looping drums and other parts.  10 minutes recording a structure.  10 more minutes recording vocals.  20 minutes mixing and fxing.  Total time about 1 hour 20 minutes.

Could have spent a lot more time getting the vox and the guitar parts perfect but the perfect was the enemy of the good here so i went with what i had.

Lyrics:

Take me away
From this city that I hate
From these kids who don't relate
To somewhere that I love

For a single day
To somewhere we can be along
Somewhere there is space to roam
And a view from Above

We'll hideout from the world
Somewhere we can be ourselves
With no one there to tell us we are wrong

We'll Stay here for a while
So long as life will give us time
And make it last 'til the moment we must go
