Staggered Approach (WB15)

I've been listening to a lot of Makossa music lately reminding me of a trip I took a long time ago. The rhythm is infectious. This my best go at making a Makossa tune.
Spent about 45 minutes putting together the rhythm patterns and the bass patterns as the heart of the track and contrary to my usual work flow I recorded the structure with just the rhythm and bass in place. Then I recorded a freeform Guitar track and chopped it up into sections and layered it a bit with itself. Took about 45 minutes to do that part. Another 30 minutes organizing and restructuring the song with fx and instrument groups. Then I recorded vocals and did a similar thing with two freeform vocal runs and then chopped them into 3 vocal tracks that run concurrently on the song.
Total work time about 4 hours on a Sunday dazed by Makossa music
