Out of Sequence (WB27)

By spry on July 10, 2016 4:04 am

Took a bit longer than expected with the recording of samples and such but pretty happy with the result.  55 minutes recording loops and writing parts, 10 minutes recording a structure, 10 minutes bouncing a sidechain and 5 minutes mixing it before export.  total writing time 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Felt good to play guitar again even if it was just a couple loops

The guitar is awesome!  And when the beat kicks in steady, that is the "o snap" moment for me.  congrats on another winning entry.

I love your kick drum patterns.  I think I have given you that comment at least 4x now smile

big_smile i try and keep the flow of the song as a whole in mind when im writing the kick pattern because thats what drives so much of the pacing in this style of music.  that way the transitions of kick patterns always line up with the transitions in the song.  at least thats some of my strange reasoning

Lovely piece!
