Ornamental (WB02)

By spry on January 11, 2018 9:14 am

Decided to make something a little more calming than my usual style this week.  this one took about 3 and a half hours to put together.  about an hour and a half the first night writing the patterns and getting the soundscape set up.  second night i spent 30 minutes setting the structure, and about an hour and a half mixing and fxing.  was considering adding a recorded instrument to it but that will have to wait for another week.

Nice smile

you should play with this style a bit more, really like where this went. love the way that staccato sine lead plays off of and deviates from the repeating patterns.

Thanks! I think I will be working with this softer sound for the next few weeks and really see where this takes me.  Glad you liked it!

Instant fav! Love this reserved melody, almost a tapping timbre similar to a hang drum. Overall a very clean and refreshing listen! Feels like I just started my day. Keep up the good work.

calming zen vibes

Oh man, so chill. I love it.

So Chill and relaxing really enjoying this keep it up smile

Cave music is swell!

Very soothing track. I love the balanced sound you got going on. I feel like i need to lay down in a dark room to really appreciate it wink

Really loving this.

I'm glad! That's exactly the feel I was going for big_smile  Funny you mention the hang drum cause I've been listening to that a bit lately.

I'm sure it would improve the atmosphere with a dark room and maybe a candle or two big_smile

vibes, snagged! only thing i could ask for is maybe some stuttery/gated swirling vocal sounds ... and there was a bit of digital distortion at a peak point

Chill af. Especially great on headphones. Super nice progressions.

Very soothing. Would listen to this on repeat while working, if I did not have so many other tracks to check out. Well done!

Thanks!  Thats a good idea with the vox.  I'll have to keep that in mind for future trax big_smile Do you happen to know what time or which instrument was peaking?  it might be one of the filter sweeps being a little too resonant.  i was worried about that.

Thanks!  I've been working on progression/melody/accp interplay lately along with the softer sound.  Glad it sounds great in the headphones!

Thanks! It does feel like a song that could be repeated but I know there are just way too many songs out there :X

Super chill in juuuuuust the right way for this chilly morning. I really dig this track. Agree with some other comments that you should explore this sort of vibe more. Really well done.
