this was my attempt at maybe a trance song? i considered posting another one of my singer/songwriter tracks that i recorded this week, but ill save that for next week with another tune

Chunky! Although - what volumes you running at? Kick dissapears a bit in the mix. If you turn the average instrument down to 3 or 4.... ;-)
@ctrix, i see what youre talking about. ive got a lot of envelope changes in the instruments on tables but most of them stay below 5 on the attack with the exception of the staccato pulse instruments at 7. perhaps i should take those down a bit. the wav channel synths are pretty loud, and kinda take away from the ring of the pulse kicks but i kinda like the crunch that loud one thing im still trying to figure out is how to do decent swells on noi without having to take the release up to 9 (E19 is my hero). part of it might also be that i have a combination of pulse and wav kicks in here and they dont always hit the same rhythm. anyway,
