When I Was Sick

By spOOked on June 23, 2024 7:15 pm

This was old nanoloop idea I had, honestly probably one of the first nanoloop ideas I ever wrote so I went back to it and worked on some new parts and wrote what I surmise as a song it was weird honeetly to revisit ideas i was writing like 10 ish years ago. I wrote about being sick and in bad mental space. Which at the time I wrote it I didn't think that but now I look back and in was very much what I consider the worst time of my life. Its funny how our subconscience knows the truth but didn't realize it in reality

Thank you for finishing this song, it was touching.

Ok so your song immediately transported me underground and I had to investigate. The answer is 95% "Everyday" from 2018's WeeklyBeats*. I have a long playlist of tracks from that year that I play whenever I dwell in odd earthen corridors below the city. It contains four of your tracks.
I listen to every WeeklyBeats track. I play them while at work, and download the ones that stand out in the moment. There are so many artists and so many tracks that I can't quite remember who did what, etc. But this track, it did stand out because it is linked to good memories of exploring these dim networks mirroring the city.

Anyway, rambling off, thanks again!

(*and 5% "Indigo" by K-o-m-o-d-O, same year, for the precise intonation of a very small voice fragment at 1:17 or 1:46 [for instance])
