Brooklyn Zouk Joint (feat. Thomas Hutchings)

Zouk-influenced rhythm. There's some quantizing on the rhythm parts but very little - i really wanted to get a natural feel in the way the parts push and pull against each other. Same with the syth bass, which was played live as a single take, with a small amount of post-editing.

Rhythmic stuff all recorded/programmed in Maschine, running as a plug-in in Ableton Live. Synth bass is NI Monark.

Saxophone and EWI played by Thomas Hutchings. Saxophone recording chain was Cascade Fathead II Ribbon > Purple Audio Biz pre-amp > MOTU Ultralight > Macbook Pro/Ableton Live.

This is really cool work. Great job.

Isn't the panning ruining it?
