I originally went for some Balkan vibes, but it turned in to this strange brew...

Korg 01r/w for drums, pads and lead (synth guitar)
Casio DM-100 for funny percussion sounds
Precision bass
SY99 for clav and synth guitar
Wah and pedals
Guitar
Violins and viola
Reaper and renoise

I will listen to this for years to come

so many tasteful choices you made here. lovely performance, and serious groove

yay 7/4!!!

Awesome man, nailed the fusion thing.  Love the transition near the end.

interesting ideas, what did you use for violins and violas?

I played 6 stereo tracks into a Mid/Side mic configuration, then panned them for an imaginary sound stage. I also used alternative positioning so that the double tracks don't become too similar. I've tried this technique before and it's something I picked up from a Bruce Swedien video about mic'ing up ensembles.

One mistake I did was in the final mix the violas on the right is almost inaudible hmm

Thanks for your question.

The funky time signature is amazing. This is a great track1

Tasty. That's one creamy center.
