interesting ideas, what did you use for violins and violas?

I played 6 stereo tracks into a Mid/Side mic configuration, then panned them for an imaginary sound stage. I also used alternative positioning so that the double tracks don't become too similar. I've tried this technique before and it's something I picked up from a Bruce Swedien video about mic'ing up ensembles.

One mistake I did was in the final mix the violas on the right is almost inaudible
