Interlude

By Sodabelly on July 26, 2020 7:48 pm

This track started out as a goofy little interlude but kind of turned into one of my favourites that I've done lately, I really tried to tap into a Samurai Champloo vibe. It's mostly done but some things here and there could use some work and I really grimed it up in the mix/master here, not sure if I went too far because I really rushed it. Enjoy!

That main riff is cool as hell, super vibey.  Big fan of the piano solo at 1:15 too.

Super smooth. This has me all kinds of nostalgic for Samurai Champloo.
Especially great job mixing the sax and winds!

Channeling that Nujabes vibe. Really awesome stuff. smile

Really like the "Rhodes" track. Nice brass too. Smooth interlude.

Thanks guys! Made my morning smile

Two thumbs up.

I love your tracks. Always pure and smooth. You have that real jazzy-hiphopy feeling and you are producing timeless quality.

Nailed the vibe, my guy

Samurai Champloo! MMMMMM, when those drums come in. Reminds me a lot of that show. I like the clarity of the instruments. This is amazing. You separate the sounds well, which makes for a cool feel when my ear is made to constantly moving around the room picking up a note, line, or jingle from an instrument. This was amazing.

excellento!

This is super groovy!  The beat alone is a head-nodder.  The rhodes sounds great especially when the brass counters it.  Excellent solo work too.  Nice work!

Great groove! I like the alternate section that comes in around 1 minute, lifts thing up just a notch

Samurai Champloo!!!
This is smooth! The saxophone lines, subtle drum beat, the keyboard lines. I love this!

My music always seems to lack groove so I'm happy to hear this. Thanks!
