Freon Leak

Tried something a little different this week, but it's actually something I used to do ALL THE TIME when I first got into making weird electronic music many years ago which is just messing around with mixdowns of the entire track. The track itself is very simple but ran several copies through a bunch of weird filters and VSTs, then faded them all seamlessly from one to the next. It kind of gives the track way more life than it would have had otherwise.

Does anyone else have these kinds of things they do with their music? Or techniques they used to do a lot that they've kind of abandoned over the years?

This thing is just dripping with style and a great vibe all around. Love this heart

As I use analog mixing consoles, I have the problem that the faders always crackle and pop out at some points. That technique I would like to use, but with my oldschool dusty mixer it does not work anymore. In the DAW I am too lazy to arrange things so beautiful as you did here. But you inspired me, having an eye on this technique in the future as well. thanks.

just that minimal string line takes the track to a whole nother level, everything else sounded beautiful and lush as it is; the whole track is like watching a graceful animal run, but when that string line comes in, it's like suddenly seeing it sprout wings and fly: so meticulously evocative

It sounds.. Tribal, and I love it.

Really atmospheric. I like the way it drifts into different sounds. So chill.
