Heard a cool drum pattern by Sam Groveman of @grovemandrums and got inspired to explore a more 'drill beat'. I don't know how successful I was but I will say this week stretched me a lot and forced me to think about percussion in different ways.

I spent a good amount of time yesterday preparing the session in Furnace [Right tempo, double spaced notes, importing lots of sounds from previous projects and creating new ones] and then going for it with idea creation. The composition isn't my usual approach but I really enjoyed it and I learned a few slick tricks in the process.
