And now for something completely different.

I couldn't get the modular rig to do what I wanted this week. Between work, weather and everything else, I just couldn't get into the groove, and I was pretty sure I wasn't going to have anything this week. Then, last night, I decided to just grab the M8 for the first time in months. Somehow I ended up latching on to something really weird and ran with it. In my head it's sort of like... if you took an alternate version of Prince Paul from some kind of 8 bit universe and told him to try and imitate Teddy Riley. And he did a bad job of it.

Big ups to nullsleep, graz and mikey303. I wasn't really intending to make something beyond playing around, so I started by just digging into instrument packs I've got, and these three wizards once again just had inspiration ready to go for me.

Track is straight export from M8 (mixed) with a touch of Bitwig for mastering. Not good mastering, but something, haha.

Nice! The synth work is so lush and vibey!

Oh this grabbed me _immediately_ and locked me in with that first crunchy pulse
Very pleasant fizz on that snare, this mix is great
It's loud yet there's still a lot of room for everything to breathe which really shows when it comes together toward the end
NICE work

This is awesome. Great textures, things build and flow, and has fantastic sections to break things up.

Big ups to you, too - sound packs are inspiring, but it’s your job to put it all together. And you knocked it outta the park smile

such lush pads over a slick beat. those delayed leads sound so good too

Transcendent.
