Ice Castle Avolire

By Sir Bunting on January 20, 2016 7:02 pm

9/8 time, Anchihoye scale. Transposition numbers are 1 - 4 - 1 - 3 - 3.

The Castle, carved from a long-submerged glacier long ago, contains the sought after Grail of Avolire.

big_smile Love how most of your track so far are like IMPEDING DANGER IN A FAR AWAY LAND... so much exotic tension! Very refreshing to hear new scales and getting a break for 4/4 (even though that's all I do outside of the occasional 3/4 piano composition) quite honestly I'm sure you've heard this before but you should make VGM wink

Also played both of your previous tracks on my FM radio show and downloading this one for the next!

The fact that twinkle sound never goes back up the notes is extremely distressing to me, considering I was playing Zelda last night.

Best compound time signatures !!
I feel the fear and curiosity by kalimba.
Though mention already it, feel the atmosphere, such as Zelda.

Complex and tricky (and I mean that as a compliment).

Very cool, love the time signature, the song fits it perfectly

Cool scale!

Nice - digging the scale and time sig - something quite tense and foreboding in the overall feel smile

Many scales that contain m2, m3, and tritones produce a lot of tension! I'm very happy to see people enjoy it.
I would love to make VGM. If there was an opportunity I'd gladly do it for free.

Thankee! My friend said he wanted to hear your radio show - any details on how to listen in?

Alas, the twinkle sound was lost forever in the depths. Please pray for his safe return (ू˃̣̣̣̣̣̣︿˂̣̣̣̣̣̣ ू)

Thanks! The parallel fourths add a tricky element for sure.

well these people https://www.facebook.com/Collectorvision/ just lost the musician for Sydney Hunter... I think your style would fit right in.

So awesome, have you ever had this stuff played by ensembles? It's so gig-able.

That 9/8 and the choice of scale...are the business.

No, I haven't. I would be happy to share my midis with anyone interested in playing live. Just let me know!
