Cool. Can you describe the arabic scale/s you used with regard to their construction? Very groovy piece.
I use the Arabic scale beginning on the third scale degree of the original major or minor scale. If I'm in C Major, then I use the notes E, F, G#, B, C, D and E. When I want to use the Arabic scale, I lead into it as I would lead into a three chord. When I want to stop using the Arabic scale I exit with the four or six chord.
Wow... this pretty awesome! Got my attention during housework, that for sure.
That's really interesting. Is the arabic scale a "best western approximation"? There are a lot of microtones in a great deal of middle-eastern and central/east/south-east Asian music, though I'm being careful not to talk in massive and inaccurate generalisations if I can help it. So the construction is m2, m2 (spelled as a2 in this case), M2, m2, M2, M2. Pretty interesting! Thanks man. It is an awesome track, I hate to bog the comments down with "theory", so apologies.
Thanks for listening, cTrix and vinpous
As far as I know, this may or may not be a best western approximation. To prevent my own confusion when writing on the computer I think of it in terms of semitones rather than seconds or thirds. For me the scale is built 133122. But that's just me. If you want to read about it, you can look at it's page on pianoencyclopedia.com
I can so pick your songs now when I'm just streaming all the songs. Uniqueness is a good thing!
I counted and there is no lie. This is 7/8 ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
