miriam in the shadows

A couple of hours writing on Thursday and a mixdown today. Everything is running from the OP-Z through the OG (ie. the first, now discontinued) OP-Lab. That's controlling the Pro-One over CV and the Juno over midi. I like this track, if not the mix, which obviously needs work. The Pro-One definitely takes pride of place here smile Live I was basically just riding the Pro-One mod wheel for serious dynamics cool The Pro-One was also going through a hall reverb on the Yamaha Rex50 from my dad's studio in the 80s...

One of the reasons I didn't have time to do more was that I spent time getting my old Alesis HR-16 up and running again with the help of a friend...Thanks, Dan! Suspect that that drum machine will surface in later tracks wink

I like the bass layer you get there, kinda arp-ish. I like the second synth line riff and it has a very cool descending pattern around 0:52. The vibe of the track to go more video game-ish around 2:45. Cool sounds overall. The snare was a bit overwhelming on my speakers.

Thanks! Something was definitely bothering me about the snare too, could just be the volume...

very cool and kinda spooky
