Midihack - XII Controller

So I was at MIDIHACK this w/e and it was such a great w/e. Spoke to so many people doing so many cool things, but I didn't even come close to chatting with everyone I wanted to meet...maybe next time!
Our entry for MIDIHACK was vaguely based on an app I've been working on for a while. For the hack we printed some objects (PLA only, no ABS), and inserted a bluetooth dev card into them, with some custom firmware sending out values to our iOS app. These we used to trigger notes or send continuous data to pure data - in the form of lipd on the ipad. We had some challenges, not least handling the presence of all the other bluetooth low energy hacks going on around us that initially caused us serious connection problems...but by presentation time we had it superstable and connecting automatically.
This is me playing the cube object we made - about hand-sized and very light. Each side is mapped perfectly to 6 numbers which I use to switch patches on chaosmachine in pd.
The possibilities are many, let's see where we go with this...
