Accidentally found a G and A chord I really liked (577600 and 355400, just barre chords without the barre) and took it from there. This week I tried recording my acoustic-electric guitar both through its pickup and through my SM57 and mixing them, and I think it sounds better than either alone did. Lead guitar is a VST cuz it sounded pretty good and I was outta time to record it. Wanted to work BE into the title cuz the rhythm guitar plays those notes the whole time.

protip: these cymbals are passable but the kick and snare don't sound good at all
it's probably your samples are crap but it couldn't hurt to look up some tried and true basic EQ formulas and adjust to taste

mix is kinda ambivalent. definite potential. agreed that a combination of mic'd and direct in is ultimate recording timbre combination.
