Working on this every week
Is really getting in my way
I'm making myself miserable
And I can't make plans on Sundays
I thought with all of this free time
I'd finally figure it out
Get ahead and finally write something
That made me feel proud

I'd like to work on an album
And write some new songs for my band
But I'm afraid with these short deadlines
They won't turn out how I planned
And I wanted to get better
At writing, playing, mixing tracks
But when I spend this little time
I barely keep up with where I'm at

I never stick with anything
I never follow through
But keeping this up every week
Seems like something I can do
I need to practice discipline
Learn how to get things done
To do what I say I'll do
When it's no longer fun
