You're going to lose

Going to be away for a while, so I'll be making mostly M8 beats for a few weeks. Last time or two that I get to play my guitar and bass, so thought I'd get some rocky songies in. Struggling with vocal energy (just never had a good day to do it), but I'm pretty dang proud of the mix. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong xD

Lyrics:
Who saw him first?
Who saw him last?
Nothing in this world's gonna last
Who found him here?
Who came to me?
Things are so messed up lately

Where is he now?
He stood right there
Nothing in the world should have him bare
The simple truth
The complex talk
You're gonna lose now matter who you are

What a great track. Very catchy! Could have easily been twice as long. wink

The song is good, the guitar part makes me think of something Graham Coxon could have done. The mixing is great, made me feel like I stumbled upon an indie rock track from the early 00s (and I mean it in a good way of course !)

Nice job! As a fellow m8 user/mostly exclusively electronic person, it's nice to see folks bringing in different kinds of music to weeklybeats. I really like that section from ~1:00 to the end.

awesome track - that riff is slick man!
reminds me of something I'd hear post-90s. (it strongly ticks a nostalgia box - great one)
you're right to be proud!

Yessss this is exactly the kind of thing I was going for!! I really appreciate that! I think I was listening to Queens of the Stoneage. Still working on getting my voice to match the guitar's energy, but that's been a huge struggle for me. I really appreciate the kind words. Also Graham Coxon is now on my rotation heart

Thank you so much! I definitely try to mix up the genre depending on what I'm listening to that week. Keeps it fresh for me
