Prop B

A few years ago my usually left-leaning city voted yes to a bill that made it illegal to sit on the sidewalk downtown (class C misdemeanor). It was advertised as an anti-homeless bill and it got a not insignificant majority. I won't say much more about it but it absolutely drove me nuts that it was approved. There was an exodus of folks living under bridges/on the street to the forest and ditches where one of them drowned during a flash flood. Boils my blood.

This was performed on the OP-1, then arranged on the M8. Mixed in Ableton.

Healing from my city
Eating like a king
Isn't it such a pity
To not be a frilly thing

Grumbling in the tummy
Sitting on the street
Behind the bars of city prison
Proposition to land on your feet

Stealing all the pretty
Giving back the dirt
Dusting off the filthy
It even says that on my shirt

Give me your number
Give me your time
I'll give you what I owed them
A million tiny lies

The spicier the salsa
The cheaper the vermouth
Its not a joke worth telling
Been sitting on the tune

(There's one thing) x?

I agree. Hard topic to address, but this ain't it!

Thanks so much for the compliment!

Enjoyed this a lot. Gave me the vibe of Washed Out, who I love. Great track!
