Don't Go Outside (M8)

By shaike on February 11, 2024 5:44 am

I know I said "touch some grass" 2 weeks ago, but this week I am singing about growing up in the self-proclaimed "allergy capital of the US." Yayyyy... I had lots of days as a kid where I just couldn't breathe. I'd spend my time in the hot shower trying to catch my breath at all. Pretty sure the below are the lyrics. I may have moved stuff around during arrangement. The instruments are from M8, bass drum is sampled. Processed in Ableton.

Nice day
Stay away
Nice day
No play

Please rain
Come here
Please sun
Steer clear

Can't have
No fun
I'll ask
For one

Have to
Say so
Want to
Say no

Hot shower
Lung disaster
Can't breathe
heart is shattered

Cold bath
Pain path
Feel all
The wrath

---
I wanted toooo tell you
I wanted tooooo tell you
Don't go outside
Don't go outside

Thank you for the compliment!

I live in Austin Tx, which appears to be near the bottom of the top 100! I also lived in Dallas when I was a kid, which appears to be #2 on the list I'm looking up, but I have it worse in Austin. Not sure how that could be! xD

Possible that its one of those universal traits where every city is the "allergy capital" haha

Feeling this one from the southern hemisphere. My throat has been kicking me in the head all week
