Vhikk X - First Patches Sampler

A slightly truncated version of my very truncated version of about 3-ish hours of patching with my newest noise maker, the Vhikk X. The longer version has a few more snippets, but I think this more than demonstrates the mood of those 3 hours. I ran the selection through a little bit of CXM 1978 to give them even more breathing room and glue the fade-in-out together more, and I used Soothe and Ozone 9 to tame the more unruly outbursts somewhat.
Patch consists of Vhikk X as sole sound generator. ER-301 being used merely for a limiter ahead of my audio interface (recorded these sessions at my gaming desk with the TX-6 as interface and Audacity as recording tool). Pam's New Workout is handling most external LFO duties, and imparts a certain cyclical quality that I think can be identified across most examples as I rarely changed the relationship of the lfo speeds used, and barely changed which things they were modulating. Where ADSR was required, I ran a pulse from Pam's to an Ornament & Crime on the 4 EG generator app. On one patch, the Intellijel Steppy was used to trigger the EG on O&C where I was playing with rhythm a little more. And as mentioned, Soothe, CXM 1978, and Ozone 9 (in that order) for taming and a little glue.
A birthday acquisition on my birthday trip to Scotland, thanks to the folks at Signal Sounds having exactly one Vhikk X in stock. And under mysterious conditions no less! it's like it was there waiting for me to arrive and ask about it, wasn't even properly in the inventory system because it was lacking a logo the box typically had? I don't know the exact circumstances, but it was very clearly brand new (tissue paper wrapping the module was conformed perfectly to the backside of the module where through-hole legs neatly and lightly perforated the tissue, and the panel was spotless), and very much the synth I wanted all too badly. I had been longing for this little device since last year and even asked after it at Elevator Sound in Barcelona, but since it wasn't in stock there I went with my other choice at that time, the Solar 42f, which is magical but definitely fits a different form at least for me.
Anyway, I accidentally somehow hit the "Submit" button midway through writing this, and can't even remember if I properly uploaded the track, so here's hoping. I do believe the form would've errored out if I hadn't even uploaded an mp3 at all, so it's probably fine. I'm only just now seeing how very close to deadline this came. Lol, lmao.
