Dusting Off The Gameboys

By ScanianWolf on January 9, 2022 10:58 pm

A quick jam to dust off my gameboys and to get back to the habits... WB2022 is here!

Nanoloop mono + nanoloop 2.8.2

such a crisp sound! love the range of tonalities in this. more ambient techno please!

Fascinating that the GB’s chips are capable of soundscapes that are never heard in its game library. Enjoyed when the bass dropped @ the two minute mark. Are all the sounds from Nanoloop here?

Le retour de la gameboy! I love the buildup and the subtle elements like the hit at 1:03, which brings life. And there is this background glitchy sound in the high range that seems to be travelling left and right. Super interesting effect.

Great to see you back on WB and get a new year of your tracks!

Yes everything is coming from nanoloop, so the relatively brief bass sequence starting at 2 minutes is actually from the GBA while the other kick is from the gameboy color with nanoloop mono

Haha oui c'est bien le retour et il y en aura beaucoup plus cette année.
Glad you like the spacious experimentation cause I had limited time and struggled a bit to come up with something to give the track some interest and depth.

:cool

dang that really doesn't sound like gameboy which is a strange compliment because I want the GB sound too.

I got the Nanoloop device and someone am way more confused by it than GB NL

great beats, great to see you back!

Damn, I love the occasional glitch in the hi hat pattern.

Really glad to see you and your advanced chiptunes make a comeback for another year, Mister Varg !!!

Extra props for the "non-chiptuny" sound of Nanoloop. I've wanted to get some of the original cartridges, but they're hard to come by... Does it run on emulation?

Lovely cold techno. Welcome back!!!
