Despite being sick this week I decided to leave my chiptune comfort zone in order to do some light experimentation with my synthesizers, drum machine and various gear. Routed my MR10 drum machine through my monotron delay to achieve some grit and roughness around the drums. Then I chopped them up and added stereo effects. Synths routed through effect pedal and overdriven to get a harsh yet hopeful sound. Various SFX where recorded from my Yamaha CS01 when playing around with the 'legato'-slider.

You got a really particular sound with the Monotron. The noise it adds gave a lot of warmth to the track, and there's a nice optimistic and sweet vibe to the melody.
