At the Lake

By Saucey-dough on July 19, 2020 9:45 pm

So I have to confess... I've been a shitty WB-er. My mind has been completely checked out. Busy with work, not motivated to write, listen, comment, anything. Kind of bummed about it, but I'll come around. I've been writing down some ideas to gain motivation for the weeks to come. So my apologies that I haven't  been actively listening or commenting. Ill get back on it. Promise.

I recorded the main part of this track on a family members unbelievable 12 string Taylor acoustic over the weekend of 4th of July. I haven't been star struck by an instrument in a while. The guitar was incredible. I recorded this on my iphone a few weeks back with intentions of uploading it as speedtrash. Well, this is it, but I did put forth a little effort accompanying the track with some instrumentation. Gave this a solid two hours today. My mind has been "At the Lake" with it being Summer. I hope my mind can get back into making music sooner rather than later!

Hope you are all doing well.

Floating on a lake in a tube with a case of beer in a separate tethered tube in arms reach is what I’m feeling with this.

Listening at some of this week tracks, I see you are not alone that have difficulties to put time on weekly beats (myself included).

This is a great relaxing track, nice addition of drums and piano. What is awesome about weekly beats is that we release stuff that we would not without this platform and some very good stuff comes out from it.

Have a great week Saucey!

I know you'll get back to it, I've already been through one of these for a few weeks and bounced back.  It sucks, but I'm sure its just temporary.  Let me know if you want to collab on something to get things going.

Really cool track this week.  The guitar part is super chill and sounds amazing for being recorded on a phone.  Love the piano accompaniment in the background too.

Yeah, I'm with @Chrisfoo. That sounds so good for a recording on an iphone, I wonder what you'd get if you got it in front of a really good mic. The slide parts and delicate piano lines are very cool. Very chill track, I love the atmosphere you got from it. I need summer vacations now.

all I can say: beautiful...and I'm not just sayin' that per our discussion the other night about WB comments wink

great sound you got out of an iPhone.  great drums as usual.  really dig the piano too.

Nice.

beautiful. Can't believe you got this good of a recording from an iPhone haha
